Andrew Jones
caravan mentorAndrew is currently a specialist Drama and Dance Adviser for the British Council: the UK’s international cultural relations agency. His role revolves around the development and delivery of innovative performance, collaborative and education programmes in Central and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and North America. In addition Andrew co-curates the British Council’s biennial Edinburgh Showcase and has participated as an adviser / mentor on several external showcases and conferences including caravan, BDE, Decibel and IETM Glasgow.
Andrew was previously Co-artistic Director of Volcano Theatre Company; and was also responsible for the lighting, set and costume design, and technical management of the 21 shows produced by the company during that time. Continuing to work as a freelance Lighting Designer on occasion, Andrew’s most recent collaboration was with Director Mick Gordon on Sherman Cymru’s multi-award-winning production Deep Cut.
Gary Hills
caravan mentorsGary Hills has been one of the caravan mentors since its introduction in 2008. He was a Brussels-based international promoter for five years, during which time he produced tours of independent theatre and dance, as well as visiting West End productions. Gary runs the Independent Theatre Council’s Touring Abroad course and continues to work with individuals and organisations on their international arts development.
