Andy Field

Motor Vehicle Sundown

Andy Fields work is diverse, slipping between a range of forms and disciplines, from installations to street games to full-length theatre shows, as a means of exploring a fascination with big cities, bad films, modern history, future catastrophes and the failure of the American dream.

For caravan Andy will be presenting ‘Motor Vehicle Sundown’, a piece that explores our complicated relationship with the car and the vision of freedom that it once embodied. Other projects include ‘Moveyhouse’, an imaginary cinema experience; ‘Zilla!’, a three-part theatre piece about disaster movies; and ‘Crash Site’, a large-scale public installation created for Culturgest in Lisbon.

“Field is a brilliant observer; precise but poetic too.” Notes on Theatre on ‘Zilla!’

“Breathless, apocalyptic romanticism.”  Postcards from the Gods on ‘This Show Was Born at the End of the World’

“The Happening of the festival.” BAC on ‘Eponymous’
