Fevered Sleep

Stilled

Fevered Sleep was founded in 1996 by David Harradine and Sam Butler. We make new work across many different artforms, for children and for adults.

Inspired by the scientific process of X-ray Crystallography, ‘Stilled’ is Fevered Sleep’s most delicate piece for adults, weaving together dance, light, music and photography to create a meditative cross-artform event exploring perception, movement and stillness.

Accompanied by a live sound and light score, ‘Stilled’ is performed for both for a human audience and for a bank of, all-seeing pinhole cameras, the photos from which are developed and displayed throughout the performance.

“Superbly directed by David Harradine and Sam Butler, On Ageing bursts with life, invention and youth. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.”  Daily Telegraph on ‘Ageing’

“Fevered Sleep have created a set that would be at home in Tate Modern.” The Sunday Times on ‘Forest’

“Fevered Sleep offer a lesson in how companies making work for the very young are producing some truly sensational theatre.” The Guardian on ‘Brilliant’
